Long-term visa in case of expiration of a Czech long-term or permanent residence permit or previously issued long-term visa

Upon request, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Baku can issue a long-term visa to an applicant whose residence permit for the territory of the Czech Republic (long-term visa, long-term, or permanent residence permit) has expired. The applicant can request such a visa if he/she is still awaiting a decision on an application for an extension of validity of his/her existing residence permit submitted at the territory of the Czech Republic AND the „bridging label“ upon which he/she left the territory of the Czech Republic had already expired.

Such a long-term visa enables the applicant to travel to the Czech Republic to pick up his/her residence permit.

To request such a visa, the applicant must provide his/her passport (and a hard copy of its first page), a hard copy of his/her last valid residence permit (long-term visa, card of long-term, or permanent residence permit), a 3,5 x 4,5 cm photo and a complete long-term visa form. In addition, providing a written acknowledgement of acceptance of an application for extension of a residence permit issued by the Ministry of Interior of the Czech Republic is recommended. Such a request is free of charge.
