The visa fee has been increased to 80 EUR (40 EUR for children aged 6-12); for citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the visa fee remains at 35 EUR.

An application should be submitted not earlier than 6 months and not later than 15 days before the trip; should the applicant wish to submit it later, the Embassy/Consulate can refuse it.

In countries where Embassies/Consulates use the services of visa centers, Schengen visa applications can only be submitted through those centers – in the case of the Czech Embassy in Azerbaijan, at the VFS Global Center in Baku. Only family members of EU citizens, holders of diplomatic/service passports traveling with an official purpose and persons traveling on the ground of necessary humanitarian purposes can, by prior arrangement, apply directly at the Embassy/Consulate.

The duration of the review period remains at 15 days; newly, it can only be extended once, to a total of 45 days.

Provided there is no reasonable doubt that the entry conditions will be met,

• an applicant who has, within the previous 2 years, obtained and lawfully used 3 single entry Schengen visas, shall newly be granted a multiple-entry visa for 1 year;
• an applicant who has, within the previous 2 years, obtained and lawfully used a multiple-entry visa for 1 year, shall newly be granted a multiple-entry visa for 2 years;
• an applicant who has, within the previous 3 years, obtained and lawfully used a multiple-entry visa for 2 years, shall newly be granted a multiple-entry visa for 5 years.
