Gratias Agit Award for Professor Verita Sriratana from the Chulalongkorn University

On June 14, 2019, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, H.E. Mr. Tomáš Petříček, has awarded the Gratias agit Award to prominent personalities and organizations who have contributed to the promotion of the Czech Republic's good name abroad and who have contributed to its better visibility in the world.

This year, the Embassy is proud to announce that Assistant Professor Verita Sriratana, PhD, Director of the Doctor of Philosophy in European Studies Programme (PEUS) of the Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University, has received the Gratias agit Award 2019 as the first personality from Thailand, along with fifteen other laureates. Professor Verita has been a very active promoter of the Czech Republic, its literature, language, philosophy, and culture in general, for many years.

The Embassy looks forward to working with Professor Verita, her students and Chulalongkorn University in the near future, and is delighted that such an appreciation coincides with the 25th anniversary of the visit of the President Václav Havel to Thailand and the Chulalongkorn University.

Gratias agit Award has been awarded since 1997, and the ceremony took place in the Great Hall of the Czernin Palace, seat of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
