Realization of a small-scale local development project in Laos

The NGO Education for Development Foundation-Laos (EDF-Laos) organized two workshops for teachers within the “One Computer One School” project as part of the implementation of a small-scale local development project (SSLP) funded by development cooperation of the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Under SSLP, EDF-Laos acquires sixty-six desktop computers and special training programs aimed at improving the quality of education, especially mathematics, Lao and English languages. These computers will be installed in fifty-six elementary schools and ten secondary schools in the Muen and Fueang areas of of Vientiane province. The targeted recipients of this project are more than 800 teachers and more than 21,000 pupils and students who will benefit from these interactive educational programs.
