Ambassador Tomšík discussed regional cooperation and investment in Dalian

Ambassador Vladimír Tomšík visited the city of Dalian in the Liaoning Province on 10-11 July 2019 to participate in the 5th working meeting of the Association of regional leaders of the 17+1 platform. The event focused on the topic of cooperation at regional level. At the occasion of his visit, the ambassador also introduced the investment environment in the Czech Republic at a business forum.

Ambassador Tomšík in his speech highlighted the key role that functional partnerships and contacts at regional level play in the execution of concrete projects of cooperation. At the margins of the visit ambassador Tomšík also sustained a meeting with the mayor of the city of Dalian to discuss the planned participation of the Czech Republic at the Dalian Beer Festival that will be held at the end of July and at the beginning of August of this year.

The Czech Republic was also represented by the delegation of members of the Chamber of Commerce of the Pardubice Region led by the head of the board members Mr Jiří Doležal who introduced the region and its investment opportunities. Companies from the Pardubice Region such as the producers of radars and systems of air traffic management ERA and Eldis already belong to the most successful Czech firms on the Chinese market. The representatives of the Pardubice Region then visited the city of Changchun in Jilin Province to discuss the establishment of a partnership between the Pardubice Region and the Jilin Province and the participation at the Northeast Asia Expo that will take place at the end of August of this year under the patronage of the Czech Embassy in Beijing as part of Czech Days in the city of Changchun.
