Temporary suspension of visa application submissions in China

In view of the spread of new coronavirus and local administrative restrictions, it has been decided to suspend the visa application submissions in China from February 10, 2020. All Czech Visa Application Centres are closed until further notice. The closing time may vary depending on the evolvement of the situation.

The Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic has issued on February 10, 2020, protective measure whereby it instructs the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Beijing, Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Shanghai, Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Chengdu and Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Hong Kong not to accept applications for visas and residence permits, not to process them and not to decide on them, including the visa issuance.

The situation changed in May, when the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Beijing partially renewed its visa services. However, the services are limited to certain types and purposes. For more information click here
