Visa services fully resumed

The Consular and Visa Office of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Beijing has resumed full visa services as of April 9th, 2022. Restrictions on visa issuance and travel stemming from the Protective Measures of the Ministry of Health have been lifted. It is now possible to apply for visas of all types for your travel to the Czech Republic as before the pandemics.
 

Short-term (Schengen) Visa

Fully restored.

If the Czech Republic is the only country or the main destination of your visit and you are a resident of the following provinces: Fujian, Gansu, Guangdong, Guizhou, Hainan, Hebei, Heilongjiang, Henan, Hubei, Hunan, Jiangxi, Jilin, Liaoning, Qinghai, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Shandong, Sichuan, Yunnan, autonomous regionsGuangxi, Inner Mongolia, Ningxia, Tibet and Xinjiang or the cities of Beijing, Chongqing and Tianjin, you may apply for a visa through the nearest VFS Global Visa Center, according to the place of your permanent residence, located in: Beijing, Fuzhou, Changsha, Chengdu, Chongqing, Guangzhou, Jinan, Kunming, Shenyang, Shenzhen, Xi’an, Wuhan.

If you are a resident of the provinces:  Anhui, Zhejiang, Jiangsu and the city of Shanghai, your nearest VFS Global Visa Centers are located in: Hangzhou, Nanjing and Shanghai.

More information about the VFS Visa Centers can be found at the webpage of VFS Global. Please note that your must apply for appointment in advance before your travel.

Based on what is mentioned above it is not possible to apply for the Schengen visa directly at the Czech offices in the Peoples’s Republic of China (i.e. at Consular and Visa Section of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Beijing or Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Shanghai). The only exceptions are the family members of EU citizens who, in addition to submitting their application at the Visa Center, can also use the possibility of submission directly at one of the Czech offices mentioned above.
