Short-term (Schengen) Visa

If the Czech Republic is the only country or the main destination of your visit and you are a resident of the following provinces: Fujian, Gansu, Guangdong, Guizhou, Hainan, Hebei, Heilongjiang, Henan, Hubei, Hunan, Jiangxi, Jilin, Liaoning, Qinghai, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Shandong, Sichuan, Yunnan, autonomous regions: Guangxi, Inner Mongolia, Ningxia, Tibet and Xinjiang or the cities of Beijing, Chongqing and Tianjin, you may apply for a visa through the nearest VFS Global Visa Center, according to the place of your permanent residence, located in: Beijing, Fuzhou, Changsha, Chengdu, Chongqing, Guangzhou, Jinan, Kunming, Shenyang, Shenzhen, Xi’an, Wuhan.

If you are a resident of the provinces:  Anhui, Zhejiang, Jiangsu and the city of Shanghai, your nearest VFS Global Visa Centers are located in: Hangzhou, Nanjing and Shanghai.

Based on what is mentioned above it is not possible to apply for the Schengen visa directly at the Czech offices in the Peoples’s Republic of China (i.e. at Consular and Visa Section of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Beijing or Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Shanghai). The only exceptions are the family members of EU citizens who, in addition to submitting their application at the Visa Center, can also use the possibility of submission directly at one of the Czech offices mentioned above.
