The Czech Philharmonic Orchestra started its 2019 China concert tour

For the 70th anniversary of China-Czech diplomatic relations, the famed Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, one of the top ten orchestras in the world, kicked off its 2019 China concert tour in Nanjing on May 11th.

Former Czech President Vaclav Klaus and Czech Ambassador to China Vladimir Tomsik attended the opening concert. “The Czech Philharmonic Orchestra can serve as the best ambassador of the Czech culture and I am happy that it can be presented to Chinese audiences. I am very glad for its cooperation with Nanjing”, said Václav Klaus in opening speech before first concert. 

Following the Nanjing event, the Orchestra will also bring world-class music to audiences in Wuhan (May 15), Fuzhou (May 17), Hangzhou (May 18), Beijing (May 19), Zhengzhou (May 21) and Zhuhai (May 23). The official partner of the tour is Home Credit Consumer Finance Co., Ltd. The tour is organized by Armstrong Music & Arts, the agency of Czech Philharmonic China Tour, and co-operated by China Poly Group Corp and Jiangsu Cultural Investment.
