"Czech Days in Shanghai"

In the period of April 22 – April 25, 2015 will take place an event called “Czech Days in Shanghai”. This event will be composed from the several activities which all should support the image of the Czech Republic as the country attractive for its tourism, known for its advanced technologies as well as beneficial investment opportunities and outstanding oeuvres of the contemporary art and design. 
 

“Czech Days in Shanghai” will be nice example of what the Czech Republic could offer to its partners in China, especially in Shanghai. Beside the stand of the SKODA Auto on the “Auto Shanghai 2015” fair, there will be additional parallel events taking place between the period of April 22 – April 25, 2015:

It will be the Czech official participation on China Shanghai International Technology Fair 2015 (CSITF), where the Czech Republic will be the main official foreign partner for the first time in the history of this Fair.  Also three Czech Regions will introduce to the Chinese public: Moravian-Silesian Region, South Moravian and Pilsen Region. There will also be a joint Czech-China business forum.  

Second parallel event will the huge exhibition of the Czech Contemporary art called “Art from Heart”. The official opening will take place on April 25, in Shanghai modern gallery Shanghai Power Station of Art.  It will be a unique exposition of the oeuvres of sixteen Czech Artists who will do their exposition for the first time in China. The exposition will under auspice of the Minister for the RegionalDevelopment of the Czech Republic Mrs. Karla Slechtova. Prior the official opening will be a public art seminar within which could artists from both countries exchange their view on the role of the contemporary art.

 “Czech Days in Shanghai” will be supported by the presence of the Head of Parliament of the Czech Republic, Mr. Jan Hamacek who will visit China between April 20-April 26, 2015.

Among the main organizers of “Czech Days in Shanghai” are Ministry of Industry and Trade of the CR, Ministry for regional Development of the CR, Embassy of the CR in Beijing and Czech-China Chamber of Cooperation. In the preparation of the event are also involved Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Shanghai, CzechTrade Shanghai, CzechTourism Shanghai and CzechInvest Shanghai.
