At CIFIT, the Czech Republic attracted Attention as the Leading Investment and Tourist Destination

At the beginning of September 2018, the Czech Republic, as the partner country of the investment fair - China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT), presented its investment, tourism and business priorities for cooperation with China. On the exhibition area of the Czech national pavilion that spread over 500m2, Chinese partners were able to get expert information from agencies like CzechInvest, CzechTourism, and CzechTrade. Interesting opportunities for cooperation were presented by the Olomouc Region. Part of the Czech pavilion was also the presentation of Škoda Auto, Czech glassmakers and of course, Czech beer. Last but not least, the visitors of the Czech exposition could see an exhibition commemorating the Centenary of the Establishment of Czechoslovakia and an interactive presentation of the Czech Innovation Expo. The opening of the Czech exposition was supported by the participation of the representation of the Committee on Economic Affairs of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic and by representatives of the Olomouc Region.

The participation of the Czech Republic at this year's China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) took place on 7-11 September 2018 as part of the Czech Days, during which the Czech Embassy, in cooperation with its partners, presented the advantages of cooperation with the Czech Republic with various regions in China. The 20th CIFIT took place traditionally in Xiamen, in southeast China. The motto of the Czech Republic as a partner country for this year's fair in Xiamen was: Czech Republic, Your Top Investment and Travel Destination In Europe.

The CIFIT trade fair in Xiamen is traditionally considered the largest investment fair in China. The Czech National Exposition could not have been complete without the presentation of CzechInvest, which discussed the investment environment and opportunities in the Czech Republic with Chinese partners. Representatives from Deloitte Advisory Czech, an expert consulting company, were also available. From the tourism perspective, the Czech Republic was presented to CIFIT visitors by CzechTourism. A successful presentation of tourism and business cooperation was also offered in the part of the Czech exposition by the Olomouc Region, whose delegation was led by Deputy Governor Pavel Šoltys.

The two Škoda Auto cars and a selection of Czech glassmakers including Preciosa Components, Caesar Crystal, Crystalite Bohemia, and others attracted great attention. Visitors to the Czech pavilion had the opportunity to taste the excellent Czech beers by Budweiser Budvar and Litovel, as well as the Marlenka cake. Part of the Czech exposition was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Czechoslovakia. Through an interactive presentation by the Czech Innovation Expo, visitors could get interesting information about Czech inventions or traditional brands.

The Czech participation in the CIFIT trade fair was supported by representatives of the Olomouc Region and also by the Committee on Economic Affairs of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, lead by Radim Fiala. On the margins of the trade fair, the MPs held talks with leaders of Fujian Province and Xiamen. Chairman Radim Fiala, surrounded by Chinese officials, spoke about the possibilities of cooperation between the Czech Republic and China at the leading investment forum CIFIT and launched a Czech-Chinese investment-tourism seminar.

At this year's CIFIT, the Czech Republic left the impression of a very interesting partner for cooperation, offering a quality investment environment, attractive tourist activities and appealing business opportunities.
