Ambassador Tomsik met with President of Chinese Academy of Social Science Mr Xie Fuzhan

On June 21 Ambassador Tomsik visited Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) and met with President of CASS Xie Fuzhan. Topics concerning the current international political and economic situation, the cooperation between the Czech Republic and China as well as challenges within the field of social science research were discussed.
 

President Xie introduced CASS as China’s top academic institution in the field of humanities and social sciences and highlighted its international academic cooperation in various fields with European countries. Ambassador Tomsik noted that the Embassy will continue to promote the cooperation between the two countries especially in the field of economy and academic cooperation.

During the meeting, Ambassador Tomsik and President Xie discussed the current state of international economic affairs, interdependency of economies and global economic growth. President Xie also shared his experience from his previous positions and elaborated on the challenges the field of social science faces.

Huang Ping, Director of Institute of European Studies of CASS, He Dexu, Dean of National Academy of Economic Strategy of CASS also attended the meeting.
