Czech and Chinese University launch Cooperation Research Center for Science, Technology and Education in Xian

Every year cooperation between Czech and Chinese Universities intensifies. This year alone multiple Universities have agreed on new forms of cooperation. In May 2018 Masaryk University and Xian Technological University officially launched the Czech-Sino Cooperation Research Center for Science and Technology and Education. Representatives of the Masaryk University and the Czech Embassy in Beijing took part in the opening ceremony of the Center and held discussions on specific areas of collaboration within the Center.

On May 10th Vice President of Masaryk University Mr. Ivan Maly, the Director of the International Office Mr. Jan Pavlik and Diplomat from the Czech Embassy in Beijing Mr. Ondrej Wagner together with the Chinese University partners and representatives of the Shaanxi Provincial Government attended the unveiling ceremony of the newly established Center. The focus of the Center will be in 3 areas: education, research and culture exchange.

During the subsequent meetings with University President Ms. Lei Yaping, University Vice President Mr. Chen Hua and the Chinese Coordinator of the Center Mr. Ma Baoji details of cooperation were discussed, which may include intensive courses, summer schools or cooperation between Universities and companies.

The newly established Center joins the growing number of Czech-China Research Centers, including the existing Centers in Zhejiang and Hebei.
