Czech Embassy expressed gratitude to close university partners (on Czech language programmes) and introduced plans for the upcoming years of 2018 and 2019

Deputy Ambassador Ms Klara Jurcova invited representatives of key partner universities from several provinces for an informal Christmas gathering. During the friendly dinner she expressed her gratitude to the University Presidents and Faculty Deans for close cooperation in 2017 and introduces the plans for 2018 and 2019. In 2018 we will commemorate 100 years since the foundation of Czechoslovakia and in 2019 we will celebrate 70 years of Czech-China ties. 

Ms Jurcova also underlined the importance of education in the bilateral relations. There are several specific examples from 2017 that clearly show that tangible cooperation between Czech and Chinese universities is taking place. In late October a historic number of Czech Universities participated at the Education Expo in Beijing, various new research and exchange projects have been launched in 2017. Furthermore, Education Counsellor Mr Ondrej Wagner offered Universities specific examples how they could also get involved during the upcoming two important years, including Study in the Czech Republic 2018.

Presidents, Vice-presidents and Deans of Beijing International Studies University, Beijing Foreign Studies University, Beijing Institute of Technology, Hebei Geo University, Tianjing Foreign Studies University and Xian International Studies University participated in the Christmas gathering.
