Higher education in China is playing a significant role, the number of enrolled college students in PRC is now approximately 38 million and this number will increase dramatically towards 2030. Studying abroad attracts more and more Chinese every year, including the Czech Republic, which is increasingly popular among Chinese students, with an annual increase of 27 %. This number is expected to increase further.

The Czech Republic ranks high among Chinese students thanks to its beautiful nature and towns, strategic location in the heart of Europe and affordable living costs. Another important factor when choosing a country for studying abroad is safety and security. In this regard, the Czech Republic, as one of the top safest countries in the world, is a great choice.

On October 21, 2019, the Embassy of the Czech Republic organized a Czech – China Education Seminar. The seminar was attended by the representatives of Czech Universities and representatives of the Czech National Agency for International Education. The main purpose was to review the opportunities and challenges of the Czech – China educational cooperation. The seminar was followed by a networking reception, where representatives of Czech Universities met with Chinese counterparts to discuss a potential cooperation.

The delegation of the Czech Universities then traveled to Guangzhou and Chengdu to promote studying in Czechia at the China Education Expo. This fair is visited by tens of thousands of students every year.
