Ambassador Tomsik presented his credentials to Chinese President Xi Jinping

On May 28 the Czech Ambassador to China presented his credentials to Xi Jinping in the Great Hall of People. During the ceremony, Ambassador Tomsik exchanged views with President Xi. Wang Yi, State Counsellor and Minister of Foreign Affairs also attended the ceremony.
During the ceremony, Ambassador Tomsik introduced to President Xi priorities for his posting in China. The main tasks lies in the implementation of the Strategic partnership, in particular the first meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission in 2019. Ambassador Tomsik expressed his hope that bilateral relations will develop in a practical manner and “all weather relations” will be achieved.
President Xi praised the professional background and erudition of Ambassador Tomsik. He agreed that it is important further developing relations within the Strategic Partnership. President Xi wished best success to Ambassador Tomsik during his posting in China.
Deputy Ambassador Klara Jurcova and diplomats Barbora Kocourkova and Ondrej Wagner also attended the ceremony.
