Czech-Chinese "First Aid" project selected as a best practice of practical health collaboration along BRI

During the last days of June, Chinese Hospital Association organized in Hainan the Belt & Road International Healthcare Cooperation Promotion Conference. The main aim of the conference was to present the results of health cooperation along the Silk Road. As a best practice of practical collaboration project was selected the Czech-Chinese First Aid Project.

Czech Republic, embodied at the conference by representatives of the Medical Rescue Services of the Czech Republic, Embassy of the Czech Republic in Beijing, Home Credit Group, together with its Chinese project partners, Tianjin Health Commission and China-Japan Friendship Hospital, shared its experience with “Health Emergency Medical Services” and “First Aid” projects, which are currently being implemented in China.

The “Health Emergency Medical Services” project executed by the Medical Rescue Services of the Capital City of Prague and the Hradec Králové Region in the field of air/helicopter medical rescue service, initiated in 2017. Cooperation takes place through a system of training courses and practical training simulations of Chinese air rescuers alternately in the Czech Republic and China. The “First Aid” project, whose aim is to raise awareness of first aid knowledge among Chinese citizens, began to be applied in China only this year and already received large attention. It is not only due to the unique know-how of Czech rescuers, that both projects were selected as a best practice of practical collaboration along the Belt and Road, but also thanks to the general partner and main supporter to both projects, Home Credit Group, which implements the projects as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility Program.
