Czech ultralight plane was of the main attraction of the annual CEEC Trade Expo in Ningbo

For the sixth consecutive year, a conference focused on trade between China and Central and Eastern European Countries (Initiative 17+1) was held in Ningbo. The Czech delegation led to the conference and attached expo Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic Mr Marian Piecha. The highlight of the annual CEEC Trade Expo was the Czech Skyleader ultralight plane that attracted the most attention.

Deputy Minister Marian Piecha met with the Mayor of Ningbo and Vice-Governor of Zhejiang Province with whom he discussed the opportunities the Czech companies' products might have in the region of China that has more than 57 million inhabitants. Both representatives expressed their interest in bringing forward cooperation in logistics and e-commerce. Especially in connection with trains, that are being regularly dispatched from Yiwu city, located in Zhejiang Province, and whose potential has not been fully utilized. Zhejiang government indicated interest in increasing the volume of trade and expansion of business cooperation.

The live demonstration of what the countries can do together was the Czech Republic's exposition at the CEEC Trade Expo. The Czech exposition displayed the famous Czech crystal glass of the companies Preciosa, Crystalite Bohemia and Caesar Crystal, Czech beer, wine and other liqueurs, Škoda car, outdoor equipment of Alpine Pro Company and natural cosmetic products of Botanicus. Present were also the state agencies attracting tourism, investment and trade, namely CzechTourism, CzechInvest and CzechTrade. The landmark of the Czech exposition that has attracted the most attention was the Czech Skyleader ultralight plane.

Vice-Governor of Jilin province Mr. Zhu Tianshu also visited the Czech exposition and held discussions with the Deputy Minister Piecha to see how the Czech Republic's participation at North-East Asia Expo could look like in Changchun in August.
