The World Economic Forum organizes on the annual basis in China the so-called "Annual Meeting of the New Champions", nicknamed "Summer Davos", which takes place alternately in Dalian and Tianjin cities and gathers about 1,500 influential figures from emerging countries such as China, India, Russia, Mexico or Brazil.

This year, the Czech National Bank´s (CNB) member of the board Mr Tomáš Holub took part in the forum and attended several financial panels where he shared the CNB's practical experience with independent monetary policy, addressing the impacts of the global financial and debt crisis on the Czech financial market.
