The prestigious fair has been held in Beijing since 2016 and its existence is related to the successful candidacy of the People's Republic of China to host the Winter Olympics in 2022. Renowned manufacturer of clothing, footwear and accessories, Alpine Pro, participates in the expo every year. This Czech company has been operating in China for a long time and its business partners include ski resorts, where Olympic competitions will take place in February 2022. Skoda cars are also very well known on the local market. They are produced here in several model lines in cooperation with local partners.

This year's fair is part of the second year of the China International Fair for Trade in Services, which will run until Wednesday, September 9. It is the first major international event aimed at promoting trade cooperation, held in the presence of exhibitors and visitors, since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic. However, international participation, including Czech, is limited by ongoing travel restrictions on trips to the PRC.
