President Zeman presented the Czech exposition at the Shanghai Import Expo

The Czech Republic left an unforgettable impression with its national exposition at China's first and largest import trade show - China International Import Expo in Shanghai. On November 5, 2018, on the first day of the exhibition, President of the Czech Republic, Mr. Milos Zeman, personally welcomed the Chinese President, Mr. Xi Jinping, and other international leaders at the Czech national pavilion. His welcoming was truly original - a personal performance on the world-famous Czech piano Petrof. The Czech exposition was characterised by products and brands representing the best of the Czech industry, agriculture, tourism, culture and business.

The National Exposition concept at the China International Import Expo (CIIE) presented the potential of the Czech Republic across different areas of cooperation. Among the exhibits that attracted the most attention were Petrof's stylish piano, the new Škoda Kodiaq GT, introduced during the CIIE exclusively for the Chinese market. There were examples of popular Czech glass and crystal and a great attraction was the Czech beer, which was not resisted by Chinese President Xi himself.
