Long term visa - business

When all necessary documentation at hand, translated to Czech, applicants for long-stay visas are asked to make an appointment to submit their applications at this Embassy via the email consulate.beirut@embassy.mzv.cz.

Please beware that the visa decision procedure can take up to 90 days, in certain cases up to 120 days. Contact the Embassy regarding the visa application decision only if you have not been contacted by us after the 90-day period expires.

1. a valid travel document (recognized by the Czech Republic, not older than 10 years, containing at least 2 free pages, its validity must be at least 3 months longer than the validity of the long-term visa),

2. 2 photographs (3,5 x 4,5 cm, light background, no head covering except for religious reasons),

3. a duly completed and signed visa application form for stays over 90 days,

4. a document confirming the purpose of stay (a document confirming the entry into the relevant Czech business register, list or record - "výpis z obchodního rejstříku" or "výpis ze živnostenského rejstříku"),

5. a proof of accommodation (either the original lease contract or its certified copy, the official declaration of the accommodation provider with his/her attested signature, or a document proving the applicant´s ownership of a flat or a house in the Czech Republic - in original or a certified copy, issued in the Czech language),

6. a proof of funds in the Czech Republic and the proof of access to them from the Czech territory (i.e. original or stamped copy of a periodical bank account statement with a copy of an international credit card linked to the respective account) - bank account statements submitted in English need not be translated into the Czech language,

7. a police clearance certificate (provided in original containing the attestation stamp from the respective Ministry of Foreign Affairs - for details see Remarks below):

  • issued by the applicant´s home country,
  • issued by the state in which the applicant has had a continuous residence for over 6 months in the last 3 years, if relevant,
  • the document may not be older than 180 days.

8. visa fee payment of the equvivalent of 5000 CZK.

 

Important Remarks:

  • the application needs to be submitted by the applicant in person at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Beirut,
  • the visa fee and other possible consular fees (e.g. for superlegalization, verification of translation, etc.) need to be paid in cash in Lebanese Pounds,
  • all original letters issued by the foreign government authorities (i.e. police clearance, birth certificate, high school/university diplomas, etc.) MUST contain the attestation stamp from the respective Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  • all foreign documents MUST be translated to the Czech language. A certified translation is required. 
  • all documents must be submitted in original or a certified copy!
  • long-term visa applications with the purpose of “business” and “executive manager” are decided by the Ministry of Interior of the Czech Republic within 90 days. During the decision period the applicant may be called in for an interview at the embassy, if requested by the respective Czech authorities,
  • after granting the visa, a medical insurance for an amount of at least 60,000 EUR and covering the territory of the Czech Republic needs to be arranged and presented to the Embassy before affixing the visa in the passport - the insurance policy may be concluded with an insurance company or a branch of a foreign insurance company authorized to provide medical insurance in the Czech Republic. In case the insurance is arranged with a company outside the Czech Republic, an official translation of the insurance certificate and the insurance conditions needs to be presented.
  • requirements under points 4. - 7. may not be older than 180 days.

Please, beware that in case of long-stay visa applications with the purpose of business, a detailed interview at the Embassy is necessary. The report from the interview will be provided only in the Czech language, therefore we suggest that the applicant who cannot communicate in Czech or English makes in advance arrangements for an interpreter on his own resources.
