Invitation to the on-line conference: „Czech Republic and OECD – 25 years Past and Future”

This year the Czech Republic celebrates 25 years since its entry in the OECD. To mark this anniversary, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has the pleasure to invite you to the online conference Czech Republic and OECD – 25 years Past and Future, which will take place on the 8th December at 9:30 via Webex and will be broadcasted live on Facebook and YouTube of the Ministry.

The aim of this virtual conference is to mark the 25th Anniversary of the Czech Republic´s entry in the OECD. It will highlight the most important moments of the accession process of the Czech Republic as well as 25 years of membership of the Czech Republic in the one of the most influential economic organisations in the world. The conference will be also the occasion to launch a booklet summarizing the Czech Republic’s membership in the OECD.

The conference will also offer an opportunity for the discussion on the future role of the OECD, the Czech Republic’s contribution and on main challenges for the OECD and its Members such as impacts of the current pandemic crisis.

The Conference will start at 9:30 with opening remarks by Prime Minister Andrej Babiš, Secretary General of the OECD Ángel Gurría and Minister of Foreign Affairs Tomáš Petříček.

The event will be moderated by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Martin Tlapa
