In order to find out if you are the Czech citizen or to ask for the certificate of your Czech citizenship, it is necessary to produce the following documents:

• your birth certificate, your marriage certificate (if you are married), the death certificate of your husband/wife (if you are a widow/widower), a divorce verdict (if you are divorced)
• birth and marriage certificates of your parents and other their documents that can certify their Czech citizenship
• documents that can certify your citizenship and the citizenship of your parents
• a document that certify the date and how you gain the citizenship of an other foreign country

Foreign documents have to have the official verification (an apostille) and the translation into Czech.
