The MFA will help promote the Musicians to Scientists project

On Wednesday, 13 May 2020, a music festival will take place in the Lucerna Music Bar from 4:30 pm to 11:00 pm, with several groups and musicians thanking all scientists and experts for their commitment during the coronavirus pandemic.

The broadcast will be aired in Czech and English and will be shared worldwide, including on the websites and social networks of Czech Centres abroad, Czech embassies and the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic. The broadcast will also be aired by friendly universities and student organisations, selected hospitals and festivals, music groups and theatres. "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is happy to participate in this original thank you to Czech scientists," Foreign Minister Tomáš Petříček said. "This is a great project, which we can also present abroad thanks to our channels."

The event is being organised at the Czech Technical University in Prague under the leadership of Rector Vojtěch Petráček. The live stream is provided by the Audiovisual Centre of CTU students. Thanks to the Lucerna Music Bar, spectators will be allowed to enter the club directly using video technology.

You can watch the live stream on the CTU's YouTube channel.

Individual performers and detailed instructions for connecting directly to the virtual room will be presented on the CTU's Facebook page.

The Czech Technical University in Prague is one of the largest and oldest technical universities in Europe. At present, the CTU has eight faculties (civil, mechanical, electrical, nuclear and physical engineering, architecture, transport, biomedical engineering and information technology) and over 18,000 students.
