Czech Public Diplomacy in Brussels

In the last week of October, important representatives of Czech public diplomacy visited Brussels: Ms Eva Dvořáková, Director of the Public Diplomacy Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, and Onřej Černý, Director General of Czech Centers Prague.

On Sunday, October 27, one of the key cultural events, held in Brussels on the occasion of the anniversary of 1989, "Revolution is not a garden party. 1989: Artists, activists and social change" was launched with their participation. The all-day program was presented by Jitka Pánek -Jurková, Director of the Czech Center in Brussels. The program was created in close cooperation with the prestigious cultural center BOZAR and the Czech Embassy in Belgium.

On Monday 28 October, already the fourth consultations between the Czech and Belgian ministries of Foreign Affairs of this year took place this time at the level of heads of Public Diplomacy Departments. Patrick De Beyter, Director of Communication, was invited to visit the Czech Republic. It was followed by consultations with the leaders of the BOZAR Cultural Center, which aimed to outline common cultural activities during the Czech Presidency of the EU during the second half of 2022. Finally, the Ambassador of the Czech Republic in Belgium organized a Czech delegation meeting with representatives of all three language communities in Belgium.
