Protocolar part of the visit took place at the City Hall, were the Czech delegation was warmely welcomed by the Mayor Daniël Termont, governor Jan Briers and representatives of of the city in the presence of the consular corps and the personalities of the city of Ghent.

After the program at the City Hall the delegation in the company of the Mayor, the Governor and representatives of the economic sphere had the opportunity to experience and see the logistical potential of the Port of Ghent for the Czech companies.

This official part of the visit was followed by the meetings at the University of Ghent where the vice-rector of Palacký University Ivana Oborná and vice-dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences Mr. Zdeněk Hradil discussed the possibilities of more intensive cooperation with their Flemish counterparts and professors. An important stop in the program was the visit of the cultural center De Bijloke where the possibilities of cultural cooperation were discussed.
