Planting of a memorial tree in the Tervuren Arboretum

On Saturday 27 November 2021, Ambassador Pavel Klucký, together with Ambassador Edita Hrda from the Permanent Representation of the Czech Republic to the EU, Baron Jan Smets, Chairman of the Board of the Royal Foundation, and Patrick Huvenne, Director of the Tervuren Arboretum, planted a tree of "common understanding" at the Tervuren Arboretum.
This event was held in cooperation with the Partnership Foundation and its representative in Belgium, Mr. Josef Jarý. It was also attended by children from the Czechoslovak BRUSK scout troop in Brussels.

The planting of this commemorative tree was an extension of the part of the Arboretum with trees and other trees from the Czech Republic, where there is also a tree already planted for the 100th anniversary of the Czechoslovakia. During this event, a Declaration of Cooperation between the Czech community in Belgium and the Arboretum in Tervuren was also signed by all the representatives, focusing on the Czech part of the Arboretum.
