Business Forum of the Visegrad Group countries in Flanders

Embassy of the Czech Republic in Brussels together with the embassies of other V4 countries and Flanders' Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Voka prepared a Business Forum of the Visegrad Group, which was held on March 9, 2017.

The V4 Business Forum was held under the auspices of Voka Mechelen, along with Voka Kempen and Voka Antwerp. The aim of this event was to present the business cooperation and investment opportunities in the V4 countries to the Belgian companies and associations.

All four nations of the Visegrad Group have enjoyed high GDP growth for the last few years, with growth rates above EU average. If counted as a single nation state, the Visegrad Group is the 5th largest economy in Europe and 12th largest in the world.

The Czech Ambassador to Belgium Jaroslav Kurfürst presented strengths and business opportunities of the Czech Republic in his presentation called “Czechia: country with industrial tradition and innovative drive".

The Business Forum of the Visegrad Group countries (V4) was followed by the concert of classical music in the cultural house Zwaneberg in Heist-op-den-Berg, carried out by the Flemish Philharmonic under the baton of Mr. Herman Engels.

The program included famous compositions of the Visegrad Group Countries authors Antonin Dvorak, Ilja Zelenka, Franz Liszt and Frederic Chopin.
