As of July 1st, 2020 submitting visa and residence permit applications resumed in limited extent and amounts.

As of July 1, 2020, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Brussels resumes - in limited extent and amounts - provision of visa services to public.

The rules for entering the territory of the Czech Republic and quarantine measures are defined by the Ministry of Health. List of countries with a low risk of COVID-19 contagion is here. Quarantine measures and RT-PCR test conditions are the responsibility of the Ministry of Health.

Depending on the epidemiological situation, the conditions for entry into the Czech Republic will also be gradually relaxed. More detailed information regarding the stay of third country nationals in the Czech Republic can be found here.

Foreign nationals are kindly requested to check the conditions of entry to the Czech Republic before their travel. Similarly, foreign nationals are requested to see what quarantine measures - if any, they need to observe after their arrival to the Czech Republic. Quarantine measure may include the requirement to submit a negative Covid-19 test or 14 days quarantine.

We kindly ask for applicants' cooperation in observing hygienic rules when visiting the consulate. Applicants are required to use hands' disinfection, wear face masks and maintain at least 2 meters distance. The number of persons who can simultaneously enter the consulate premises is limited.

We also ask for applicants' understanding that the amount of applications consulate can accept and process while observing the preventive hygienic measures cannot approximate the amount of applications accepted and processed before the state of emergency.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs aims to enable arrival of those foreign nationals who need visas to stay in the Czech Republic. However, at the same time, it is not be possible to accommodate all applicants in the midst of the pandemics while observing the preventive hygienic measures.

The extent of the visa services currently provided remains limited – refer to the overview in Point III of this article. The extent of the visa services that consulates are currently allowed to provide is anchored in the Protective Measure of the Ministry of Health from July 17, 2020.

Kindly refer to the website of the Ministry of the Interior, primarily to the pdf-format table titled "Conditions for entry of persons to the territory of the Czech Republic in accordance with the Ministry of Health Protective Measure."
