As of July 1st, 2020 submitting visa and residence permit applications fully resumed

Diplomatic mission in Brussels has fully resumed acceptance of visa and residence permit applications and has resumed processing of previously lodged applications.

The rules for entering the territory of the Czech Republic and quarantine measures are defined by the Ministry of Health. List of countries with a low risk of COVID-19 contagion is here (pdf, 18 kB). Quarantine measures and RT-PCR test conditions are the responsibility of the Ministry of Health.

Depending on the epidemiological situation, the conditions for entry into the Czech Republic will also be gradually relaxed. More detailed information regarding the stay of third country nationals in the Czech Republic can be found here.

Foreign nationals are kindly requested to check the conditions of entry to the Czech Republic before their travel. Similarly, foreign nationals are requested to see what quarantine measures - if any, they need to observe after their arrival to the Czech Republic. Quarantine measure may include the requirement to submit a negative Covid-19 test or 14 days quarantine..

APPOINTMENTS ARE ASSIGNED BY EMAIL ONLY (visa_brussels@mzv.cz) and based on the order of received requests. Users will receive an automated reply which includes the list of requirements and types of visas.

Requests adressed to another of the Embassys´e-mails will therefore not be considered.
Persons whose previous appointments had to be cancelled due to the crisis will be served first.  

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE WEARING OF A MASK COVERING YOUR NOSE AND MOUTH IS MANDATORY IN THE WAITINGROOM. Payments are accepted by creditcard only.


Applicants for Schengen visas (shorter than 90 days) and long-term visas and residence permits (over 90 days) for purposes of economic and education activities are obliged to submit a document on fulfilling requirements against introduction of infectious disease: Confirmation of an entity receiving in the territory of the Czech Republic a third country citizen for the purpose of economic activity or educational activity (CZ / EN) (docx, 136 kB) upon lodging the application.
