Conditions for entry to the Czech Republic - as from 11 January Belgium in orange category

The Ministry of Health Protective Measure was updated on 5 January 2021. As of 11 January Belgium is classified as an orange zone from the Czech point of view. Detailed information by Ministry of Interior.

The rules for entering the territory of the Czech Republic and quarantine measures are defined by the Ministry of Health. Conditions for entry of persons to the territory of the Czech Republic in accordance with the Ministry of Health Protective Measure are based on the nationality of the person (category of persons) and at the same time based on the country from which the person enters. The list of countries with a low risk of COVID-19 incidents is updated regularly based on established criteria.

Red – travellers from these countries (both foreign nationals and Czech citizens) must fill in the Public Health Passenger Locator Form prior to entry to the Czech Republic and undergo the PCR test.

Orange (BELGIUM*) – travellers from these countries may enter without the obligation to fill in the Public Health Passenger Locator Form. Those foreign nationals travelling to the Czech Republic for the work or study purpose are be obliged to submit a negative PCR test result prior to entry to workplace or an educational institution in the Czech Republic. This applies only to foreign nationals.
* as a result of the crisis measures issued by the Government of the Czech Republic it is possible to travel to Czechia only for essential reasons

Green – travellers from these countries (both foreign nationals and Czech citizens) may enter without the obligation to fill in the Public Health Passenger Locator Form and without the obligation to undergo the PCR test or quarantine.

Quarantine measures and RT-PCR test conditions are the responsibility of the Ministry of Health.

Current conditions for travelling from the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (UK) introduced as a consequence of a new covid-19 variant are further extended. Each person travelling from the UK to the Czech Republic has to be in possession of a negative result of an antigen test or PCR test which has been performed in the UK no later than 72 hours before the departure, no matter which means of transport is used. After arrival there is an obligation to undergo PCR test at the earliest during the fifth to seventh day. Only international transport workers and persons transiting through the UK to the Czech Republic are excluded from above mentioned obligations. You can find more information here (pdf, 346 kB).
