Consular and Visa section

Our Consulate is the representation of the public administration of the Czech Republic in the Kingdom of Belgium and therefore we work on delivering a high quality consular assistance service to Czech nationals. We also evaluate visa applications and issue visas to foreign nationals seeking to visit the Czech Republic.

The Embassy of the Czech Republic (including the Consular and Visa Section) is closed for public during the Czech Public Holidays:
1.1., Good Friday, Easter Monday, 1.5., 8.5., 5.7., 6.7., 28.9., 28.10., 17.11., 24.12., 25.12., 26.12.


APPOINTMENTS ARE ASSIGNED BY E-MAIL ONLY (visa_brussels@mzv.cz) and based on the order of received requests. Users will receive an automated reply which includes the list of requirements and types of visas.

Requests adressed to another of the Embassys´e-mails will therefore not be considered.
Persons whose previous appointments had to be cancelled due to the crisis will be served first. 

Please note that in order to ensure the functionality of the system for all applicants, attempts to send registrations in bulk using software tools may be evaluated as spam by the mzv.cz domain's anti-spam security, as a result of which such registrations will not be taken into account.

What do we do for the Czech nationals?

We establish and renew passports, report births, deaths, marriages and divorces which happened in Belgium to the competent authorities in the Czech Republic.
We help our citizens in distress or other emergency situations, such as hospitalisation, detention or arrest.

What can we do for you?

  • Verification of: copies and signatures
  • Czech Point
  • We arrange processing an apostille for public documents issued in the Czech Republic for their use abroad
  • Basic information about travelling to the Czech Republic
  • Basic information about living in the Czech Republic
  • We establish entry visas to foreign citizens and  inform them about immigration-, residence- and work permits.
