Verification of Copies, Translations and Signatures

It is possible to request a signature or copy verification at the Consular Section of the Embassy during the regular opening hours. For translation verification a prior appointment by phone is required.

By verification of signature the Embassy certifies that the applicant signed the document in the presence of a consular officer.

By verification of a photocopy the Embassy certifies that the photocopy of the document is identical with the original document. The application for verification of a photocopy should consist of the original document and a photocopy of the document. It also is obligatory to bring along either a valid ID or passport.

Please note that the verification of more than 5 documents (signature or photocopy) cannot be done while you wait. Multiple documents are usually ready to be picked up the next working day.

The Embassy itself does not provide translations or interpretation services.

The administrative fee is paid by bank card.

The Embassy does not verify the copies of identity cards, passports or similar documents. The Embassy primarity verifies signatures of Czech nationales only.
