Czech Culture in Belgium

The most important partner in promoting the Czech culture in Belgium is the Czech Centre Brussels. Czech Centres are a contributory organisation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, established to promote the Czech Republic abroad. The network of Czech Centres abroad is an active tool of the foreign policy of the Czech Republic in the area of public diplomacy.

Czech Centre Brussels (est. 1997) works with partners in Flanders and Wallonia alike and has participated, alongside ongoing projects such as film festivals, conferences and literary events, in the official programme of the Czech Presidency of the Council of the EU in 2022. Czech Centre Brussels promotes Czech know-how in fields such as design, fine arts, film, science and education through cultural cooperation on bilateral and European level. It is part of EUNIC - the EU National Institutes for Culture network.
