Opening of the exhibition "Charles IV., Emperor on four thrones" in Arlon

The inauguration of the exhibition "Charles IV., Emperor on four thrones" took place on Thursday 24th of November in Arlon, the capital of the Belgian province Luxembourg.

Ambassador Jaroslav Kurfürst, together with the mayor of Arlon and advisor to the Prime Minister of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg stressed the importance of Charles IV for their countries and for Europe. The opening was attended by the governor of the province Olivier Schmitz. Czech delegation had also the opportunity to visit the remains of the monastery Clairefontaine founded by the countess Emersinde de Luxembourg – the founder of the Luxembourg dynasty. Special panel on Emersinde was created for the purposes of the exhibition in Arlon.
