Ambassador attends Congress of Roma Democratic Civic Alliance

On 1 October 2011 the Ambassador Jiří Šitler attended the Founding Congress of the Roma Democratic Civic Alliance, an umbrella organization representing Roma NGO´s.
On 4 October the Ambassador received representatives of the Romani Criss NGO Mrs Magda Matache and Roma activist Florin Manole. They talked about the Czech Government’s approach towards the problems faced by the Roma community in the Czech Republic. The Ambassador also informed about a conference on Roma issues to be organized next year by the Embassy of the Czech Republic within the framework of the Czech Presidency of the Visegrad Group.
