In Timişoara, the Ambassador Jiří Šitler participated in the tour of the Emergency Transit Centre for refugees organized by the UNHCR permanent delegation in Romania. He took the occasion to meet with the Mayor Mr Gheorghe Ciuhandu and discuss with him cooperation with the City of Timişoara, in particular the preparations for the Czech Days to take place in Timişoara in early June. He discussed the forthcoming event also with the Rector of the Banat University of Agronomical Sciences and Veterinary Medicine Professor Alexandru Moisuc and the Dean of the Faculty of Horticulture Professor Aurel Lazureanu. The meeting with the President of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture Timiş (CCIAT) Mr. Georgica Cornu focused on the possibilities of cooperation between the Czech and Romanian companies in the region.
