Ambassador meets Chairman of the Senate´s Foreign Affairs Committee

On 1st March 2012 the Ambassador Jiří Šitler met with the head of the Committee for foreign affairs of the Senate of Romania´s Parliament Titus Corlatean.
They discussed topical European issues including the fiscal agreement and granting candidate status to Serbia. The Ambassador reiterated Czech support for Romania´s accession to Schengen area. An identity of views was stated on the building of the anti-missile defence system. The agreement with the US has been recently approved by Romanian parliament.
