Ambassador pays tribute to war victims

On 9 November 2014, Ambassador Jiří Šitler honoured all soldiers and civilians who have lost their lives or suffered in war, by laying a wreath at the Commonwealth War Graves Cemetery in Tancabesti near Bucharest.
 
 

During World War I, Czech volunteers fought and died on the Romanian side in Dobruja, while others served in the Austro-Hungarian Army. During World War II, Romanian soldiers fought and died while helping to liberate Czechoslovakia´s territory from Nazi German occupation.
