Czech Deputy Minister of Agriculture visited Romania

Juraj Chmiel, Czech Deputy Minister of Agriculture in charge of Common EU Agriculture and Fisheries Policy paid an official visit to Romania on 7 – 9 December 2011.

On 8 December he held talks with Bogdan Mănoiu, Romanian Deputy Minister for European Affairs, and discussed topical European issues. He met also with Victor Adir, personal adviser to the Mayor of Bucharest, with whom he discussed the cooperation on Horticultural Days that are to take place in Bucharest in May 2012. Deputy Minister Juraj Chmiel was also received by Valeriu Tabăra, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Romania.  They talked about the Common Agricultural Policy after 2013, reciprocal agrarian trade, the common Fisheries Policy with the emphasis on the freshwater aquaculture. On 9 December, Deputy Minister Juraj Chmiel held talks with Secretary of State Cristian Apostol of the Ministry of Environment and Forests of Romania. They discussed the situation in the forest administration.
