Czech Foreign Minister´s Special Envoy meets Romanian partners in Bucharest

Special Envoy for Czechs Abroad Stanislav Kázecký visited Romania on 16 – 23 August, 2011. After visiting Czech community in Banat on 17 – 22 August he met with the representatives of the Department for Romanians Abroad and the Department for Interethnic Relations on 23 August.

Stanislav Kázecký and Ambassador Jiří Šitler discussed with Deputy Director Radu Cosma of the Department for Romanians Abroad the possibilities of supporting the Czech and Romanian communities abroad. Stanislav Kázecký presented the recently adopted Czech MFA´s Concept for relations with Czechs abroad in which promotion of the Czech language teaching plays an important part.

The Special Envoy and the Ambassador then met with the Undersecretary of State Negiat Sali and discussed with him the Romanian Government´s support to the Czech community in Romania. They agreed that the Romanian state takes a good care of ethnic minorities living in Romania´s territory.
