In the first part of the evening, the film “Into the Current: Burma´s Political Prisoners” was screened. The screening was followed by a discussion with Luciana Alexandra Ghica, lecturer at the department of international relations of the Bucharest University, and the Ambassador of the Czech Republic Jiří Šitler, former ambassador also to Burma. The event was part of  the worldwide campaign organized annually to support the pro-democracy movement in Burma. In Romania, it took place for the first time.
