Former Prime Minister of Romania at the FORUM 2000 Conference

On 16-17 September 2013, Former Prime Minister of Romania Petre Roman and Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Romania Jiří Šitler participated at the FORUM 2000 Conference in Prague, once founded by Václav Havel.

Former Romanian Prime Minister and the Czech Ambassador honoured a memory of Václav Havel together with other participants, among which there were e.g. Nobel Prize laureates Auung San Suu Kyi, Frederik de Klerk and Tibetan Dalai Lama, a singer Joan Baez and many other important guests. The theme of this year´s FORUM 2000 Conference was "Societies in Transition". Petre Roman also laid flowers on the grave of František Kriegel, a life-long friend of his father and the Czechoslovakian politic, who in 1968 boldly refused to sign a protocol legalizing a Soviet occupation of Czechoslovakia. Petre Roman and Jiří Šitler also attended a reception hosted by the Romanian Ambassador to Prague Mrs. Daniela Gitman.
