Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic visited Romania

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Lubomír Zaorálek paid a working visit to Romania on 6 October 2014.

Besides talks with his Romanian counterpart Titus Corlatean L. Zaorálek met Chairmen of both Chambers of the Parliament of Romania.

Talks were focused on current bilateral topics, in particular economic cooperation including protection of Czech investments in Romania. Partners also discussed current European and international topics. L. Zaorálek thanked for approving draft law, which declares 28 September – in support of the Czech minority in Banat - a Day of the Czech language in Romania. During the visit foreign ministers signed the Agreement between the Government of the Czech Republic and the Government of Romania on War Graves.

Minister Zaorálek also met representatives of the Czech community and Czech companies operating in Romania. Within the event he participated at a launch of the volume The Munich Conference – the Path towards the Destructuring of Democracy in Europe, which is a result of cooperation of Czech and Romanian historians.
