A celebration of the National Day as well as 25 years from fall of Communism started in the Bragadiru Palace in Bucharest with a 30-minutes concert of the foremost representative of Prague´s underground culture (1968-1989), a rock band The Plastic People of the Universe. The concert was followed by a reception. On behalf of the Government of Romania Bogdan Stanoevici, Minister Delegate for Romanians Abroad, addressed the audience. At the event there were about 600 guests from the Government, Parliament, public and cultural life and the Diplomatic Corps, who could also see the exhibition on Charter 77.
