The colour orange is a symbol of the campaign, which draws attention to the fact that (according to the latest global surveys published by the WHO) one in three women over the age of 15 has been subjected to physical or sexual violence at least once in her lifetime, either by an intimate partner or another person. The results of these surveys lead to the conclusion that the situation in the world has remained essentially unchanged over the last 10 years. The figures do not yet reflect the reality of the COVID-19 pandemic.   

The Embassy staff expressed their support for the campaign by wearing the orange element of their clothing in the attached photograph.
