In his message the President expressed the conviction that the friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries will continue to develop successfully. Congratulatory telegrams have been addressed to their Romanian counterparts also by Prime Minister H.E. Mr. Petr Nečas, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs H.E. Mr. Karel Schwarzenberg and President of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic H.E. Mr. Milan Štech.

On 1^st December 2011, Ambassador Jiří Šitler attended the military parade and the gala reception at Cotroceni Palace to mark Romania´s National Day.
