Ambassador Halka Kaiserová honoured the memory of fallen Czech soldiers in Dobrudja

On Veterans' Day, Ambassador Halka Kaiserová attended a commemoration organised by the Ministry of National Defence, the City of Medjidia and representatives of veterans' associations in Romania.
She laid wreaths at the memorials of fallen Czech, Serbian, Croatian and Slovenian soldiers who took part in the fighting in Dobrudja as part of the First Serbian Volunteer Division. The division was formed in Odessa and included 600 Czechs, 128 of whom were officers. The Dobrudzha battlefield has become as much a part of Czechoslovak resistance history as Zborov, Arras or Doss Alto.
