Czech MP Tomáš Kohoutek laid a wreath at the bust of John Amos Comenius in Sarospatak

On March 30, 2019, Tomáš Kohoutek, member of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, visited Sarospatak, where he, on the initiative of the Czech Embassy in  Budapest, laid a wreath, together with Richárd Hörcsik, member of the Hungarian parliament, at the bust of John Amos Comenius.

After the ceremony, Tomas Kohoutek gave an interview to a Hungarian television, during which he mentioned that John Amos Comenius lived in Sarospatak between 1650-1654 at the invitation of Prince Rákóczi. During this time, Comenius wrote some of his most famous works, such as The World in Pictures (Orbis Pictus) or School of Play (Schola Ludus).

MP Kohoutek visited Hungary to take part in a meeting of the Cultural Committee of the Central European Initiative's Parliamentary Dimension.
