Reception on Day of the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic

Also, this year reception on the occasion of Day of the Armed Forces was held at the Czech Embassy with Colour Guards and Military Band from Olomouc present. 

The reception was hosted jointly by Ambassador Juraj Chmiel and Military attaché Major General Ján Gurník. Among the guests were ambassadors and other members of the diplomatic corps as well as military and police attachés posted in Budapest. Hungarian guests included in particular representatives of Office of the President, Office of Prime Minister, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Interior. Many Czech compatriots, Hungarian or other friends of Czechia, and representatives of Czech companies attended the reception too. Česká Zbrojovka Uherský Brod, Retia Pardubice, Aero Vodochody AEROSPACE, ŠKODA AUTO and NG Aviation took the opportunity of presenting themselves. The official programme started by Colour Guard installing the national flags and by Military Band from Olomouc performing Czech, Hungarian and NATO´s anthems. After speeches of the hosts, the doyen of the Diplomatic Corps Apostolic Nuncius Michael A. Blume paid farewell on behalf of all present diplomats to the Ambassador Juraj Chmiel, who is soon completing his mission in Budapest after having served here for over four and a half year.
